We are accepting places for September 2025!
The Musical Theatre degree course at Northbrook is designed to cultivate versatile, creative, and technically skilled performers who are aware of the ever-developing opportunities available in the industry. Students receive comprehensive training in our well-equipped dance and vocal studios, supplemented by specialist workshops and industry preparation. The course also includes sessions dedicated to developing choreographic, directorial, and teaching skills and strategies.
Our onsite performance venue, The Northbrook Theatre, provides an excellent environment for the students to refine their craft, collaborating with peers from specialised degrees in dance, lighting, sound, stage management, costume, props, and hair and makeup. In addition to performances at the Northbrook Theatre, our students have the opportunity to showcase their work at a variety of venues across the South East. These have included London's Excel and Olympia, Jackson's Lane in Highgate, The Battersea Arts Centre, Brighton Dome, The Old Market, and The Royal Hippodrome Eastbourne. Furthermore, students have been involved in catwalk and theatrical modelling, provided voiceovers for promotional films and adverts, acted in films, performed in mass movement projects and most recently filmed for a new reality TV series with the BBC.
Upon graduation, students emerge with a wide range of technical and creative knowledge and extensive experience performing across multiple disciplines in various theatres and performance venues. This comprehensive experience equips them with the ability to embrace the diverse performance and creative opportunities that exist within our industry. This program's primary focus is to foster the personal development of each student, with their own individual skill set, needs and potential.
